LONDON: The arrested match-fixer, Mazhar Majeed, who is in detention for acting as Pakistani cricketers’ front-man, has told the Scotland Yard that Pakistan would lose the first couple of One Day Internationals against England.

Mazhar Majeed makes important revelations before Scotland Yard

Mazhar Majeed was arrested from Surrey on Saturday and has accused that seven of the Pakistani players are involved in match fixing, spot fixing, and fancy fixing.

During the initial interrogation, Mazhar Majeed revealed the names of the seven Pakistani players in the current squad who are involved in the crime.

Mazhar also told the Scotland Yard that Salman Butt is the ringleader of the match-fixing mafia in the Pakistan cricket team while some of the leading superstars are equally involved in this heinous crime.

He claimed that Pakistan would lose the first two ODIs of the five-match series against England.

It is important to mention here that Pakistan’s ODI skipper Shahid Khan Afridi called on team manager Yawar Saeed and asked him to oust the breed of players involved in match fixing from the ODI team. He also threatened to quit captaincy in case his demands are not met.

Following his meeting, Pakistan were able to avoid yet another chaos as for the time being, the team management has approved his demands and none of the seven players involved in the latest match fixing scandal would not be part of the Pakistan’s ODI team.

It would be interesting to see how Pakistan play in the Odis as they lost at the Lord’s Cricket Ground by a huge margin of an innings and 225 runs, which is their biggest defeat in their Test history.
